Insurance coverage for nutrition services varies widely based on your specific plan, the reason for your visit, and whether the service is considered medically necessary. Unfortunately, under our current health insurance framework, coverage for preventive and wellness-focused nutrition care is often not adequate or available. Additionally, self-pay gives us greater flexibility to focus on what matters most to you—without being limited by insurance restrictions that can interfere with client-centered, holistic, and inclusive care.
If you have “out of network” nutrition benefits with your health insurance, I can provide a Superbill which you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
Nutrition care is an investment in your health. Working with a dietitian can help you build sustainable habits, prevent or delay the onset of chronic disease, and feel more confident in making food choices that support your long-term well-being. Like any meaningful investment, the benefits are often long-term—supporting your health, function, and quality of life well into the future.
