What to Expect

What is Nutrition Counseling?

Nutrition counseling is a personalized process where we work together to explore your eating habits, lifestyle, and health goals. My role is to provide guidance, education, and support that fits your unique needs, helping you make sustainable changes that promote your well-being over time.

Your Journey is Yours to Choose

How long you work with me is completely up to you. Nutrition changes often take time to feel natural and lasting, so whether you come for a few sessions or ongoing support, I’m here to meet you where you are. Most people find that meeting every one to two weeks provides the right balance of support, accountability, and time to integrate changes between sessions.

My Approach

I believe nutrition care should meet you where you are—with respect, compassion, and without judgment. Your goals guide our work, and I create space for your culture, preferences, and lived experiences.

To me, food is never just about nutrients. It’s also about enjoyment, connection, and identity. All foods can fit within a balanced, health-promoting pattern, and I want to help you build a relationship with eating that feels supportive rather than stressful.

My practice is inclusive and welcoming of people of all genders, body sizes, races, and backgrounds. Together, we’ll focus on realistic strategies that help you feel good in your body and confident in your choices.

Your First Appointment

Your first session is an in-depth intake appointment designed to help me understand your overall health, lifestyle, and nutrition background. During this foundational meeting, we’ll discuss your medical history, current health status, dietary habits, and personal goals. This information allows me to develop a personalized nutrition care plan that is safe, effective, and tailored to your unique needs. Additionally, the intake process helps determine if any additional medical referrals, lab work, or collaboration with your healthcare providers might be recommended.

Please note that this appointment focuses on gathering important information to establish your baseline, so specific nutrition education and recommendations may be reserved for follow-up sessions.
